editThe article as I wrote it was intended to have images of some of the cover art for this artist. I was not ready to create articles for each album at this time. When I uploaded the images, I failed to include a fair use rationale for non-free images.
- User:ESkog deletes all images from article. Please view my discussion on this and his answers.
- I have now included Fair Use Rationale for all images to be included. I chose to delete several images from the article as I could not in good faith claim fair use. I used the Template:Non-free media rationale to tag the images I intended to continue using.
- User:ESkog reverts to his original deleted version while I am actively editing the article. See history
- All images I uploaded will now be subject to deletion by User:BetacommandBot as they are now orphaned due to the actions of this one editor.
Please review the appropriateness of the actions of User:ESkog in regards to these images.
I need a chance to address the problems with this article before all the images are deleted by User:BetacommandBot. If I revert the article twice more, User:ESkog can then have me blocked from editing. I want to go through channels, but this is so frustrating that one person can interpret Wikipedia Guidelines and enforce his interpretation without oversight. Robbie Giles 15:07, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images clearly states that non-free images cannot be used in the absence of critical commentary. Because discographies, like other list articles, do not provide that critical commentary, the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria state (in #8) that fair use is not valid in gallery or list articles. Therefore, they were removed. There are many great discography articles in Category:Discographies which don't violate copyright or our policies; I'm sure this can become another one. - Concur with the removals by Eskog. These fair use galleries are against policy, and have and are being removed from a broad range of discography type articles (in addition to a number of other types). See User:Durin/Fair use overuse explanation. --Durin 20:27, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
