Name pronounciation

edit

Can anyone comfirm the part about his requesting the more traditional American pronounciation? We're well into the season now, and I still cannot recall hearing any of the Lakers' announcers, radio or TV, nor any of his teammates in their interviews, ever say his name any other way than rhyming with "pony". I guess it could be force of habit that's so far keeping them from being able to honor his request . . . but since I also never have heard about that request anywhere else but here, I'm beginning to wonder. I totally forgot about removing that statement. If anyone is going to pronounce it correctly, it's going to be the Lakers announcers. Since they keep saying "Rony" I'm going to eliminate that sentence now. howcheng {chat} 02:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article editing

The article was practically ripped from the Los Angeles Lakers online bio of Ronny, so I'm redoing it. I've also added a photograph and some stats. Any help or other additions will be greatly appreciated! -Modenadude (talk) 15:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I edited it back to say that Turiaf is still officially a Lakers player, since the offer sheet can still be matched by the Lakers. Jxp (talk) 06:20, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Turiaf's 'new' Team

edit

Thanks, JXP, it keeps getting edited! But just to re-iterate it one more time to anyone else, Ronny Turiaf is NOT a Golden State Warrior. He was signed to an offer sheet for the Golden State Warriors, and because he is a restricted free agent, the Lakers have 7 days from the signing (July 9th, PT) to match the offer. If they do not match it, THEN he will become a Golden State Warrior. So please, until that time comes (though us Laker fans hope it does not), please leave him as a Laker! :) -Modenadude (talk) 07:01, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Position

edit

{{Editsemiprotected}} This page appears to be semi-protected (so I am unable to edit), but I'd like to point out that Ronny Turiaf spends most of his time playing center these days. He should, therefore, be listed as Power Forward/Center. ThanksKurasuke (talk) 00:55, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

A reliable source should be provided for this.  fetchcomms 22:25, 15 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ronny's official site is http://www.ronnyturiaf21.org/ not what is currently on wikipedia. Can we please change this? Zacharyfactory (talk) 18:59, 15 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
