notability is certain edit

Ronald Smith was recently mentioned in a Economist article, so his notability is certain. The real problem is the stub nature of this article. SubcomOvashins (talk) 06:42, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deliberate homicide edit

Has anyone ever heard about "non-delibrate homicide"? Can't imagine! --89.177.42.20 (talk) 20:35, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

It may seem like an odd phrase, but in some jurisdictions 'non-deliberate homicide' may be a definition of manslaughter, as opposed to deliberate homicide, i.e. murder. Robofish (talk) 15:31, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

All caps issue in criminal record table. edit

Hi. I made an edit to this page (diff at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ronald_Allen_Smith&oldid=874706623) relating to an all caps issue in the criminal record table, and I wonder if anyone has noticed up until now. The issue couldn't have appeared all by itself, so maybe someone could keep an eye on it (I don't use this IP address very often) and notify any user who has made the text in that table all caps through their talk page? Thank you.123.243.100.66 (talk) 01:32, 21 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

BTW I also edit as 211.27.126.189, which I use way more often. This is only coincidental given where I am, and not to disguise as another person. 123.243.100.66 (talk) 03:00, 21 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth? edit

So, is his place of birth Wetaskiwin, Alberta or Red Deer, Alberta? The main body of the article states the former while the information box states the latter. 74.205.219.236 (talk) 19:51, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

The sourced infobox says he was born in Red Deer. (Unfortunately the source is dead.) The article body simply says that he is from Wetaskiwin. Not the same thing, and entirely possible. Hmm... the CBC source on the paragraph that mentions Wetaskiwin actually says he is from Red Deer.
And here's a 2021 source that says "originally from Red Deer". https://www.cp24.com/news/canadian-man-on-death-row-in-montana-now-says-execution-would-be-preferable-to-prison-time-1.5418035 I'll just remove the Wetaskiwin mention. Meters (talk) 20:03, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
