I feel that this is a fairly balanced article - an earlier inflammatory opening sentence was probably added by another editor, and I have now removed it. Berek (talk) 12:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I was the user the tagged the article for deletion, and I can confirm my worries about the article being nothing but a hate diatribe stemmed from seeing the section that was removed, on further inspection the article seems fine, if a little unbalanced. however, to the user that removed the mark for deletion, it is my understanding of wikipedia policy that once added a tag for deletion should not be removed until it has been inspected by an administrator. --UltraMagnus (talk) 12:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Which is correct, as far as it goes - and, having added the referencing template and reviewed some of the sources, I think it's worth a deeper look. So, I've declined the speedy tag and tagged the article for neutrality (that being the concern that started the deletion discussion). I have to believe we have an article that discusses Catholicism's interaction with and knowledge of the prophet somewhere, and this might be a merge candidate to that article - but it's not a pure attack page as the speedy criteria would require. I'm also concerned about the tone in spots, but that's a minor thing. If we can't clean up the article, I'd recommend an AfD, where these issues can be debated thoroughly. I add that the user that removed the deletion tag is the original author, who is the only person who absolutely 100% cannot remove the tag. So no worries about reverting that. UltraExactZZ ^Claims ~ Evidence 12:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
