Why $?

edit

As this is an entry on a British company and mentions listing on the London Stock Exchange why are all the values given in dollars? Can someone find the values in the original £ Stirling. I will find what I can from the Times archive and make those changes.

The Times is a subscription site and I don't know how to cite it properly. I will list which issues I get the information from here.

Sir Isaac Wolfstan's loan value, Times, Tuesday 21 July 1964. Low share price of 1s, Times, Sat 18 July 1964. Company debts, Times, Friday 28 August 1964

The aircraft mentioned cannot be a DH 125 as they were not delivered to customers until after the company had gone bust, it appears from the reports in the Times to have been a De Havilland Dove. MidlandLinda (talk) 21:02, 13 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I corrected the earlier description from personal knowledge, I have no citations.

I may be able to achieve more. Certainly there were three models, after the Viceroy there was a slim streamlined case, I can;t remember any more.

The Viceroy deserves better, it was introduced in 1938. I have this model, and I gave my son the post war model which contained technical improvements. I can make photographs of these although they look very similar.

The war time activity of the company as a parts supplier to the aero industry may be of value.

I don't agree with the idea that the Bloom years were a continuation of Rolls Razor. He bough the shell and renamed it. It was something else and deserves a page of its own.

I will be pleased to read comments. Reg nim (talk) 17:08, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nice work. I have an Imperial that I use from time to time, and it shaves well - I do like the way the honing/stropping works. Only one thing - you added a second References section, so I've removed that and just left the one at the end. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:38, 2 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your kindness. i have added two more references and I am done now. I declare an interest : my dad worked for Rolls from about 1924 until he died in 1959. I am concerned here about accuracy and the way the razor worked which is ignored by all the websites. Reg nim (talk) 17:13, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
