Suggestions(?)

Wow, I think this looks good. I might suggest that the basic elements be listed first, and then the Thrill elements be further organized by some sort of type, e.g., inversions, speed, or whatever (I don't really know that much about them). ALSO the article Roller coaster inversions is a spectacular article and should definitely be nominated for FA/GA! Where would one do that? --Tinned Elk 17:40, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

I think we should experiment with as many formats as possible before settling, but the prose and everything could use cleanup. Pretty much every thrill element (except overbanked turn, and even that's an exception) is an inversion, and I can't think of any other obvious division.

You can nominate articles at Wikipedia:Good article candidates and Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. Inversions is nice, but right now it's a little too short and I think they would dock the nomination for that. ALTON .ıl 22:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

User:Seaserpent85 nominated the Inversions article for GA. I think it is long enough, just about the right length. (why are we talking about this here, bad). BUT on topic, I will try to look at the language (not right now) since I know next to nothing about the content. What do they call the "cars" in inverted roller coasters?

Are these also called "trains" even though you are hanging out there? If so, we could make that note in the trains section. --Tinned Elk 00:14, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Spelling of "Kamikaze Curve"

Does anyone know 100% how to spell "Kamikaze Curve" in the Batwing section? On Google I found:

Kamikaze Curve: 464 results. Kamikaze Kurve: 103 results. Kamikazee Kurve: 43 results. Kamikazee Curve: 6 results.

But aside from the sheer numbers, I didn't see any really authoritative references. The phrase is used in a few other articles on Wikipedia, but those uses aren't referenced either.

Vertical?

what about Helix?

Helix's definition is already on the disamb page: A continuous and uniform turn of constant radius, generally over more than 360º. Can't imagine that an entire coaster paragraph could be built out of that. SpikeJones (talk) 23:03, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Stall turns

Does the term "stall turn" as used on the Nemesis article refer to an Immelmann_loop? If so a link and redirect might be appropriate. - Shiftchange (talk) 03:56, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Headchopper Miscatagorised?

If you look at all the outher elements in the basic elements that one sticks out the most i do belive that it should be moved to thrill elements or it should be made into a new catagory that could also fall under visual call it visial and interactive elements? actual responces would be nice.--Cmedinger (talk) 19:45, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Tilt Coaster?

I'm not entirely sure what the name of this is, but why isn't the tilting verticle drop like the one on Gravity Max in Discovery World in Taiwan on here? Non-Inverted Loop

Cobra roll

The cobra roll section states that there is much confusion about the naming of it and that there are other names for the same type of maneuver. But it does not state any of the other names. More general glossary?

The second entry refers to "lap bars" without defining them. Other articles refer to RC terminology like "rollback" which one can guess at. Is there, or should there be a general glossary? Rich Farmbrough, 00:12, 24 March 2011 (UTC).
