Is there evidence that his 1988 win at the Zimbabwe Open was part of the South African Tour? It says so on his wiki page but I am under the strong impression that it was not. On the wiki page it implies that the event part of the Safari circuit from 1984-1991. Also, if you look at the wiki pages of the 1987 and 1989 champions (Gordon J. Brand and Vijay Singh) it does not state that it was an official tour win. Lastly, there is no citation at all for this victory.
You are 100% correct. I've added a ref which makes it 100% clear and changed the article accordingly. There was another Sunshine Tour event the same week won by Mark James (golfer) which I'm assuming is the TPC event noted in his article, although "TPC" doesn't seem to be mentioned in the sources I've seen.
