Not only that, but it seems to mostly be dedicated sugar gliders, not "Pocket Pets" in general. Most of the bottom half should probably be moved to the sugar glider article. Michael1115 (talk) 14:33, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

The name

The name "pocket pet" may give the impression that the person looking for the "small pet" article has found something closer to a Tamagochi toy "pet". Thoughts? Maxaxle (talk) 23:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

When your post popped up on my watchlist, my first thought was "What is this, some Pokemon knockoff?". I've never heard this term used outside Wikipedia, and I would definitely support a move to some other title, if you have a suggestion. — Gavia immer (talk) 00:07, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

It is used. However, at least one source listed there includes cats and small dogs, whereas our article seems to exclude those. I'm not convinced we need an article on this, probably poorly defined, term. Ucucha 00:17, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, the last three animals talked about are not rodents. Does anybody have any suggestions as to a new name? I don't think "pocket pet" works very well either (see above). AviationFreak💬 15:07, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Rabbits

Degus

Why are degus not listed on this article as pocket pets? I think they should be on the list, as they're small enough to be considered pocket pets.
