Hello FlyingToaster,

How about these here:

This here is a scanned image from a newspaper:

Then here is a video of them on the television show "LA Music" (here is the link to the tv show's actual website *http://www.lcntv.com/prom_lamusic.asp )

He was also a consultant for the new Dictionary of Louisiana French:' 'Dictionary of Louisiana French: as spoken in Cajun, Creole, and American Indian communities by Albert Valdman, senior editor; Kevin J. Rottet, associate editor ISBN 978-1-60473-403-4. The University Press of Mississippi.

And then he helped with these dissertations here:

ETHNIC AND GEOGRAPHIC VARIATION IN THE FRENCH OF THE LAFOURCHE BASIN by Nathalie Dajko, March 30, 2009.

And:

LANGUAGE DEATH AND STYLISTIC VARIATION : AN INTERGENERATIONAL STUDY OF THE SUBSTITUTION OF /h/ FOR /ʒ/ IN THE FRENCH OF THE POINTE-AU-CHIEN INDIANS by Katie Carmichael, March 28, 2008.

Rocky wasn't the one who wrote the dissertations, but he was an invaluable resource for their creation.

How are those? And if it's any clarification, this is my first wikipedia article, so I'm not really on the up-and-up as to how to make these things. Spatcher (talk) 23:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC) SpatcherReply

Re: Speedy Deletion

Hey Spatcher. The reason I applied a speedy deletion to this page is because it did not appear to meet the qualifications for notability listed here. Notability is established via external sources, so as you've added a couple since the speedy deletion tag was applied, I'd like to go through them to explain why the tag has not been taken down.

- Creator of websites such as Le Tabloid Cadien! and TVTL.tv Television Terrebonne-LaFourche - these sites do not appear to be notable in their own right
- Assisted with research at Tulane - are any of his papers published and well-cited by others? A search from me did not find them
I'm afraid I don't see anything notable here. A search for the above works shows a few songs on MySpace and student projects, but nothing that can help establish notability.

I'm sorry, but the above two links are not enough to establish notability. FlyingToaster 22:21, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
