Also compare Dnieper–Donets culture#Overview: "The physical remains recovered from graves have been described as typically Europoid. They are predominantly characterized as late Cro-Magnons with more massive and robust features than the gracile Mediterranean peoples of the Balkan Neolithic."
This is clearly a relative term. The statement that anatomically modern humans are gracile is misleading without emphasising that this is only true in comparison with archaic H. sapiens. I understand that, for example, Aboriginal Australians would be described as robust in comparison to, say, Japanese or even Andamanese.
Also, I wonder if gracility is a neotenous feature; the article Neoteny appears to indicate so. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 12:37, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
