Robin Sparkles, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson
editI mentioned about Tiffany and Debbie Gibson on the article because Robin Sparkles is actually inspired by these two singers, who were very popular at the 80's. The "Let's Go To The Mall" song evokes Tiffany, who had a big mall tour in 1987, and also many of the dance moves from the video are taken from Gibson's Electric Youth. The video from Sandcastles in the Sand also has Tiffany as one of her friends and it's very similar to Debbie's "Only in My Dreams" video. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anquevitti2 (talk • contribs) 02:54, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Half-Lebanese
editIn the first episode, she refers to herself as 'Half-Lebanese', shouldn't this make her a fictional Arab-American?Kickitmama (talk) 17:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Kickitmama
Redirect and/or Merge
editCharacter doesn't meet WP:GNG - no significant coverage in independent reliable sources, and it isn't properly sourced. WP:PLOT also dictates that coverage of fictional entities should be concise, and this certainly isn't. Per WP:NOTGUIDE, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and we shouldn't have in-universe coverage of television characters. Claritas § 18:45, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- Might have been an issue several months ago, but as of November 2010, the character is well covered in 3rd party sources. A google news search on "Robin Sparkles" brings up 90+ hits, all of which appear to be unique (no AP article reprints). Merge into the list of characters articles doesn't seem appropriate either given the length of the article and 3rd party coverage.--RadioFan (talk) 01:16, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Date of birth
editI don't watch the show so maybe I'm missing something, but if she was born in 1980 how could she have been a teen singer in the '80s? ... discospinster talk 02:44, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
The 80's came late to canada. it was 1993......per the show —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.35.59 (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Scherbatsky
editWas the name inspired by a character in Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina? By the way, the transliteration of the first sound is German (sch = Eng. sh). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.221.17.45 (talk) 17:48, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
why can't we add pictures of Robin, Ted, and Marshall, like there are Barney and Lily..? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.201.121.43 (talk) 03:28, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
Early Life
editIn Season 1, Episode 6 (The Slutty Pumpkin), Robin tells Ted that she never played team sports in high school, and that she only played tennis. A few seasons later, however, we have a flashback of her (around age 14) playing on a hockey team. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sorenhero (talk • contribs) 05:55, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
Robin Sparkles
editShould there be some mention of Robin Sparkles being a parody of Alanis Morrisette? Smurfmeister (talk) 12:56, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Long plot summary
editCurrently there is a warning that the plot summary is too long. However, Wikipedia:WikiProject Fictional characters/Style guide seems to be what would govern this article. And this character history or biography does not seem to be under the rules of TV show plots. Group29 (talk) 23:03, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
