edit
An image used in this article, File:Robert rabiah.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Notability

edit

Rabiah is notable through significant roles in Safe Harbour and Face to Face per "1.Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." The notability tag was recently returned with the bizarre suggestion that films and television shows do not count towards this. Unless someone can justify that in a timely fashion I will again remove the tag. duffbeerforme (talk) 04:42, 22 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Unverified BLP vio

edit

I have removed one of the many atrocious sources , the article titled Crime doesn't pay for Underbelly actor Fined for Botox bill, which may or may not have been published in the Herald. Anyone resinstating this should first have a conversation here. 2Joules (talk) 05:48, 23 May 2018 (UTC). 2Joules was blocked as a sock puppet. duffbeerforme (talk) 00:01, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

The Herald Sun definitely has it's flaws but to call it atrocious is a bit of a stretch. Unverified BLP vio? The Herald Sun article verifies the name. Where's the vio? (The Geelong Advertiser only uses Robert Gharios (read part here) "who uses the name Robert Rabiah when acting". Looks like The Australian uses the whole name but that article is not easily available to me). duffbeerforme (talk) 11:26, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Once again sourced information was removed from this page. The reason was that the editor "could not verify so I removed". What steps were taken to try to verify this info? Did said editor read the newspaper cited? If not how can you claim you could not verify it? If you have no access to that paper there are steps you can take before blundering in. Factiva for example. Ask the help of a librarian. Ask the editor who added that info. Don't just kowtow to a spammer who wants to present his preferred version of his history to the public and is happy to pay socking shills to help his cause. duffbeerforme (talk) 12:42, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Delete edited for undisclosed payments tag discussion

edit

Hello! The page has been extensively edited by numerous editors, including myself, and there is little remaining on the page that was originally edited by editors thought of as being paid editors. I believe that sufficient cleaning has occurred, promotional content removed, and notability established. Let me know if you have any questions at all, and I'll try to get back ASAP. Thanks! EDIT: Sorry about removing the tag without consensus on the talk page. I didn't know that was a rule. WillPeppers (talk) 16:50, 29 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

It seems that now you are making edits from an Ip 2606:a000:112a:c0b3:795e:7b3e:8380:5f7b on this page now. 157.47.149.152 (talk) 14:08, 2 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
That is me, sorry. I simply forgot to log in. What I don't understand is why so many IP address accounts are reverting my edits. Keep in mind that this could be sign of paid activity against the subject. I have no connection to the subject, but am concerned at the suspicious activity on this page after it was considerably shortened by previous editors during and after the AfD nomination. Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll be happy to respond. WillPeppers (talk) 03:48, 3 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello all. There seems to be a lot of accusations about my account being paid from non-registered IP addresses. I am willing to go through any verification necessary to prove otherwise. I have not and will not accept monetary contribution for any of my Wikipedia edits, period. Thanks! WillPeppers (talk) 13:10, 3 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
