Early life and education section edit

I put some info in this section, all sourced from that Public Historian article, but I don't have access to the full article, just the first page. Would someone with full JSTOR access be so kind as to expand that section? —BorgHunter (talk) 04:37, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removed text from Lede edit

The following text has been removed from the Lede and transferred here:

Fellow historians commend Utley as the finest historian of the American frontier in the 19th century.{{citation needed|date=March 2010}}

The only sources to be found are those which mimic Wikipedia (over 4,000 of them). A reliable source for this claim has not been found. Until it is, this should stay on the talk page and not be transferred back to the article. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 23:31, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

PS. Further info: This claim was added to this article with this edit by DavidV81 (contributions) back in 2007. It was that editor's only contribution to this encyclopedia.
