If I am not mistaken, Robert Lloyd sang the role of king Priamos in the recent transmission of the Troyans by Berlioz, recently send on french TV. The whole scene where the king and the queen of Troy appears is so fantastic and efficient in the staging of the Royal Opera … that I wish somebody would mention it in this article. As for me… I cannot write english ! But I come back again and again to my recording and particularly the moment when the king makes his entrance… Its a living picture about how society reacts on hopes and despair …
