Note on references and sources
editThis section has been moved from the article to here. Comments about writing the article don't belong in the article itself.
Currently most of my references consist of outside links but this will change. Also almost all of his reviews are noted in his online resume but without any source links and I am trying to track those down and will add them as I find them - I further hope to add some of new things during this concert season. I also hope to add Facebook and LinkedIn links in the future.
Dr. Baker also has several videos on YouTube which I hope to get permission to use soon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Decwrites (talk • contribs) 12:56, 13 December 2011

editI have extensively copyedited this article to conform to Wikipedia's Manual of Style for biographies, general article formatting, and encyclopedic tone. I have removed inappropriate personal commentary on the subject and unreferenced claims about their private life as well. Please do not re-add them without an inline citation to a reliable independent published source. Please see Wikipedia's policy on the biographies of living persons for guidance in this area. I have also removed redundant and/or inappropriate external links, per Wikipedia: External links. The clean-up tags provide links to guidance on dealing with the remaining outstanding issues with the article. Voceditenore (talk) 16:47, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Voceditenore - I need some help here. I am autistic and this is my first page and I have edited it several times. So I request patience and apologize in advance for serious social gaffs. I am also a bit confused. Also a lot of this stuff of this nature was here and and various editors have insisted I remove them to avoid deletion but did not really explain why. Other editors said I should include the more pesonal stuff gleaned from interviews for flavor, so the article would not be boring. So I'm getting contradictory advice. Please help.
And finally I have a printed copy of the manual of style sitting on the desk in front of me and am not finding some of this stuff, can you link me directly?
Now I will take your edits point for point and request appropriate aid.
This biography of a living person needs additional citations for verification. Tagged since December 2011.
What citations are required. I am writing this after having worked with this individual and as preperation toward a fully authorized and published autobiography. My interviews with this person and his family and coworkers have been my primary source, so how do I cite them or can I?
And what other sources need I mention...I included links in text and in external to all of his official pages and biographies. So what else, please?
It relies on references to primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject, rather than references from independent authors and third-party publications. Tagged since December 2011.
What independent sources can I quote? There are no other biographies and all of his provided newspaper reviews are ten plus years old or European or uncited reviews (has say New York Times but no dates?) or are written by affiliates of his symphonys (which I know does not count as reliable). I have copies in his printed official bio to third parties but his agencies do not provide links so how do I go about tracking those down?
added later: Okay having been doing research - I am beginning to see what sources are allowed, but I am puzzled. Are interviews with the person and or their relatives and colleagues not considered allowable - because that's where a lot of my material came from, save for the referenced professional stuff. I mean if I do get the contract to write a book about Dr. Baker these sources would not only be allowed but would be considered mandatory. And if I wrote the book would I have to delete this Wiki?
It needs more links to other articles to help integrate it into the encyclopedia. Tagged since December 2011. Very few or no other articles link to it. Please help introduce links to this page from other articles related to it. Tagged since December 2011.
There are 37 links to other Wiki pages here...how many more do I need and what kind?
I very sincerely appreciate any and all aid and will honor all help provided...yours truly,

- When your book is published, it can be used as a source, including information in the book derived from interviews. The key requirement per Wikipedia:No original research is that information in the Wikipedia article must be referenced to published sources, i.e. a published (but not self-published) biography, or articles. The sources for your future book don't have to have been previously published themselves. The article here won't be deleted if you write a book on Baker. In fact, that's not a valid reason for deleting an article. However, I would caution you to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for guidance in editing under these circumstances, and especially re using your own blogs and websites as references.
- Re the links... Yes, the article now has internal links to other articles, but as you can see here, virtually no articles link to this one. Voceditenore (talk) 19:11, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
