Well-written article edit

This is a good, concise article which documents the life of an early French pioneer in Canada. There are woefully few artices on pioneers in pre-confederation Canada, hopefully this will be remedied by good aticles such as this one. Great work whoever created and edited it. Copy-edited for WP:MOS style edit

I have copy-edited the article to match the current WP:MOS style of writing. There were about 94 changes: I reworded the text without using conversational tone (or questions); indented family list; converted arpent/ha & miles/km using Template:Convert; italicized French phrases; fixed "At yet" & "century ships"; set 3 standard apostrophes; added +28 commas/periods & colons. Per WP:NPOV, articles should be worded to avoid any value-judgement phrases, such as "beautiful" or "harsh land" unless such phrases are quoted from a source. There might be similar phrases still in the article's text; if needed, then sources could be quoted to allow strong adjectives in the text, as done in many other articles. -Wikid77 (talk) 20:52, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
