Citation 3 & Names that already have an article but it's about the wrong person. & Multiple sources
edit1. Should I keep putting citation 3 over and over again? 2. What should I do when there is already an article for a name but it's the wrong person? 3. Should I look for more sources for the ones that are just releases from the Robert F. Kennedy Humman Rights site? InezSerrano (talk) 01:18, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
- For 1. yes, you did it just right. 2. If there isn't an article for the person, either don't wikilink the name or wikilink it to a disambiguated title so that it doesn't go to the wrong person's article. For example, say an award winner was Sally Field, an investment banker. You could link it as [[Sally Field (banker)|Sally Field]], and that would display as a redlink so other editors would see that a possibly notable person doesn't have an article yet. 3. I think the RFK site is sufficient. Schazjmd (talk) 15:18, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
Should we have the Ripple of Hope Award on this page?
editI added it because there was some back and forth editing related to J. K. Rowling's award. I thought it would make things less confusing. There is still an error on J. K. Rowling's page, but I can't change it. I don't know if the Ripple of Hope Award should have a seperate page or something. InezSerrano (talk) 01:33, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ripple of Hope Award is currently a redirect to this article. It probably could be forked into its own article. I wish I could find out more about the history though. It's confusing; there was a Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award back in the 1980s, but it seems to have been presented by something called The Mentor Network. There was also a Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award in the 1990s, but it was related to tennis somehow and I couldn't trace the presenting organization. Schazjmd (talk) 15:18, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
Flags.
editI don't think that there should be flags on this page because nationality isn't very important. Should I remove the flags? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Icons#Inappropriate_use_2 InezSerrano (talk) 01:33, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
- I agree, they should be removed. (BTW, instead of a URL to the Wikipedia page, you can make it a Wikilink like this: [[Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Icons#Inappropriate use 2]].) Schazjmd (talk) 15:18, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
