In Mariano Bolizza's 1614 report and description of the Sanjak of Scutari, Gruda had 40 households and 100 soldiers. According to Robert Elsie it was recorded for the first time in 1648 as Grudi. — removed Elsie's citation. --Zoupan 04:24, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
