Merging, blanking, re-instating etc etc edit

Hello,

@191.102.167.145, Sliekid, Editorwikifact, and Materialscientist: (pings purely made just from those who have recently edited the page, not from anything else - that will be below).

My closing of the AfD as "no consensus" is not a confirmation of a specific mandate to merge. It's not a specific mandate to keep, either, but no-consensuses default to that status. A merge discussion absolutely can be an option, but as it is clearly a controversial one, a formal discussion needs to be set up, and given this is the only thing on the talk page, it hasn't.

It isn't vandalism, but it is an edit war, and it should remain a distinct article while any discussion is had.

To aggregate the relevant bits in one place, 191.102.167.145, if you think my AfD close was incorrect, then Deletion Review is the proper venue, not unilateral revocations. Nosebagbear (talk) 11:39, 1 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal edit

I propose to merge the article Robbert Rietbroek into Quaker Oats Company. The content in this article can easily be integrated into the article about the Quaker Oats Company under the Leadership section and there is no need for duplicative information or two separate articles. The merging of this small article into the Quaker Oats Company would be an improvement. I would like to invite other perspectives. Editorwikifact (talk) 13:00, 1 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Very little of what the current article has to say is directly relevant to an article on the company. Such articles don't normally contain off-topic biographical information about their CEO's career prior to taking the post. 165.120.15.66 (talk) 11:41, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Article should be merged with the Quaker Oats Company article which already has a mention under key people. There is no need for a separate page.12.39.24.24 (talk) 00:05, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Support I agree to your proposal now. It should be redirected to Quaker Oats Page to avoid duplication. Sliekid (talk) 16:58, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
