General Notability
editThe Wikipedia "notability guideline for biographies" contains the following description.
"Athletes: Competitors and coaches who have competed in a high-level, fully professional league (i.e. Major League Baseball, National Football League), or a competition of equivalent standing in a non-league sport such as swimming, golf or tennis."
Roan Carneiro competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the premiere fully professional mixed martial arts promotion in the world, and various prestigious amateur submission grappling tournaments as noted in the article itself, and therefore meets this criterion for notability.
