Road to UFC: SingaporeRoad to UFC – The name given for this event series is "Road to UFC". Naming it "Road to UFC: Singapore" is based on a premature assumption of a "Road to UFC" franchise, as well as a faulty assumption about Singapore as a location for this series.

None of the many sources cited in the article at any point actually affirm "Road to UFC: Singapore" as the name of this series. Although the Singapore location is emphasized in the original announcement, it is not confirmed to have any connection to the series beyond hosting the opening quarterfinal round. In the PR announcement, it states "The semifinals and finals are scheduled for later this year [...] with location and venue details announced prior to each event." Such language would be unnecessary if Singapore was confirmed as a location for the other events. Although "Singapore" is used in the naming of these quarterfinal round cards on unofficial third-party fight databases such as the Sherdog Fight Finder, without context, the bare listings do not clarify how such naming applies to the series, as opposed to just those specific events.

As for the article currently located at Road to UFC, it is premature, the entire basis of which is original research. While clear similarities to Road to UFC: Japan could explain the use of the "Road to UFC" brand for this series, the fact that the actual announcement refers to this series using language such as "launch" and "ground-breaking" with no mention of the previous series would indicate that the UFC is not treating this as continuance, but as a fresh start, perhaps even akin to a reboot. Also, despite the similarities, this "Road to UFC" has not been characterized as having an reality show component, unlike Road to UFC: Japan. In addition, there is no indication of any future "Road to UFC" series beyond this one. Dancter (talk) 00:18, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
