Map Template

Does anyone know how to make the text on this image hyperlinks?

It's a good image. I suspect that the original request was for something like the diagram here: River_Witham#Current_Navigation
The people from The Mills Project are keen to include watermills as well. If you want to be scared witless, go and look at Wikipedia:Route diagram template/Catalog of pictograms/watercourses --Brunnian (talk) 07:55, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Loss of Crown Jewels

Is there any evidence that King John lost the crown jewels? There are some refs that point to him losing some treasures, but most point to Wisbech as the site, rather than Fosdyke. Shall I remove that section? Bob1960evens (talk) 12:50, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

A citation has been sought since April so I agree that it can be safely deleted. Ned de Rotelande 13:46, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Major waterway ?

Is this really a major waterway ? How important is waterbourne transport in this area ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.108.110 (talk) 06:17, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Waterbourne transport is not particularly important, but a river does not even have to be navigable to be a waterway. It is a major waterway because it carries large volumes of water which would otherwise flood much of southern Lincolnshire. Bob1960evens (talk) 15:55, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Assessment

  • Suitably referenced, with inline citations
  • Reasonable coverage - no obvious omissions or inaccuracies
  • Defined structure, with adequate lead
  • Reasonably well written for grammer and flow
  • Supporting materials - Infobox, map, images, POI table
  • Appropriately understandable

I am rating it B. Bob1960evens (talk) 13:15, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Improvement

Anyone see anything that would need to be changed before nominating as GA?--Robert EA Harvey (talk) 10:13, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Interesting book

I have added this to the Bibliograhy here, and at Stamford Canal. It's a fascinating read.
