"The Mudd family of the United States" by R.D. Mudd (1951) reads, in Google Snippet View, that Rison was called Carpenters Maryland prior to 1900. This might be worth following up on by someone with the means. SwampT (talk) 17:37, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
