Please change: As an 11-year-old, Rihanna was an army cadet in a sub-military programme,

To: Rihanna was a cadet in the Cadet Corps when she lived in Barbados,

Right after "was her drill sergeant." please add the reference: [1] Jacob81 (talk) 16:50, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why I am requesting the edits: (Also see what I typed in the talk section "There is no such word/term "sub-military""). The new citation clarifies what program Rihanna was in (Cadets Corp of Barbados). This program is only for 13 to 20 year olds. It is possible this age range was different when Rihanna was 11 years old which would have made it possible for her to join at 11; however the fact that the age range currently starts at 13 leaves doubt that she was really 11 when she was in the program. Thank you. Jacob81 (talk) 17:06, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Age 11 should stay, since it's supported by an interview with Rihanna.[1] The only remaining issue is how to describe Cadet Corps. —C.Fred (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much! Jacob81 (talk) 11:41, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Just noticed that the Barbados Cadets Corps website is now saying age 11 to 18. Not sure why I previously thought it said something different. The website is also at a different URL. So the reference to Rihanna being 11 years old makes sense. Mystery solved. Could someone change "Rihanna revealed she is pregnant with her second child" to "Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her second child"? Kymothoë (talk) 16:52, 24 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Could someone add that she is a "songwriter" in the beginning of the biography? She has writing credits in almost half of her discography and that seems like an appropriate and accurate thing to add. Julioplantain (talk) 07:27, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Removal of "NH" from Rihanna's name. edit

The Order of National Heroes Act of Barbados does not include provision for the postnominal letters of "NH" after your name. You are simply a National Hero and referred to as The Right Excellent. It is similar to Knights Bachelor in the UK system who have no post nominals for the honour. 72.51.113.83 (talk) 15:57, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Suggest to add "Bajan" to describe Rhianna's nationality. Bajan is the self-titled name for people from Barbados and the Caribbean and it would be respectful to her cultural heritage to add this. The edit would be: "Robyn Rihanna Fenty (/riˈænə/ ⓘ ree-AN-ə;[2][3][n 1] born February 20, 1988) is a Barbadian (Bajan) singer, businesswoman, and actress. 2601:643:C101:47B0:382A:4129:414F:14D1 (talk) 19:51, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Add to the info box and lead sentence this:

    • Singer
    • songwriter
    • actress
    • businesswoman

And in the lead sentence this:

  • is a Barbadian singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman
    • as she is also a songwriter and has songwriting credits on six of her eight albums Shaneyshady (talk) 15:48, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, she's not a songwriter, she only has co-writing credits --FMSky (talk) 15:52, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@FMSky: doesn't that warrant it enough to be included? Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez co-write their songs and it is mentioned in their articles? Shaneyshady (talk) 15:59, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
