land @ $1 per block edit

A television program mentioned blocks of land being offered @ $1 per block to encourage people to consider moving to, and establishing themselves as residents in Richmond.

I haven't been able to gather any information to consider this generous offer.

Can anyone assist me? Can Richmond council put something on the net to either confirm or deny this report? And if it proves to be factual, a little more meaningful information wouls prove most welcome.

Thankyou, John (in the overcrowded south east corner) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.108.248.91 (talk) 09:28, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Try this link here. Note that Jandowae, Queensland had a similar promotion some time ago. -- Mattinbgn\talk 09:43, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

John, this one dollar offer DID happen and I will attempt to get something concrete for you, if you are still yet to have it confirmed? I would also like to point out that the photo that goes with this article is of Hughenden, a town apprpx 110km east of Richmond, and NOT Richmond. FitzFriend (talk) 04:22, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
