Molesting women on the golf course

edit

Is there any particular reason that there is no mention of this incident or the settlement in the Wikipedia article? Statalyzer (talk) 18:41, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

A Wikipedia Page or a Craigslist Ad?

edit

I realize that people who follow sports are often psychotically connected to their teams and players (in ways that resemble both religion and war), but this article reads more like an attempt to BED Incognito, not to describe who he is. Detail after detail about his sport accomplishments, but not ONE reference to the numerous VERIFIED reports that he's a huge bully, has a violent temper, and has used anti-Black racial slurs on more than one occasion? And for all of you know who about this, you only post it HERE, on the Talk page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.156.9.68 (talk) 01:50, 10 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Controversy

edit

I added a section called Controversy about his recent lnclusion in a SI article on Dirtiest players in the NFL as voted by the players. As I am still a bit new to adding this much info, I am using this to help myself learn how to edit properly. As of this moment I have not yet figured out how to included my references. Should I fail to learn, here are my sources that an experinced person could use to add them for me. I write this so that it is known that this section was added based on facts and not random slander I have nothing personal against this person. Thanks. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/11/04/dirty/index.html - http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/rams/story/6221009FEF31048D8625763500051219?OpenDocument70.116.159.118 (talk) 00:34, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Career highlights and awards

edit

Please remove Walter Payton Man of the Year (2013) from Career highlights and awards because Richie Incognito did not receive this award.

Multiple sources confirmed to ESPN that the following is a transcript of a voice message Incognito left for Martin in April 2013, a year after Martin was drafted:

"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."

Sports center is all over this. This article is a vanity piece. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.6.54.136 (talk) 02:27, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • I do agree that the section on his college career (including long list of documented problems/issues) is woefully sanitized and vanity-like. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 02:30, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • I just added some more details on his college career and fixed up the section a bit. Overall, I think the article could benefit from some restructuring, perhaps starting with getting rid of most of the small sections/subsections, many of which are only 1 or two sentences. - Maximusveritas (talk) 17:05, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Other incidents of racism

edit

In addition to Jonathan Martin, there are at least two cases that have surfaced recently of Incognito using "the n word": [1] and [2]. (To be fair, the player Incognito mentioned in the first video is defending him [3]). Are these relevant for mention, or are they UNDUE? --Jprg1966 (talk) 20:31, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Neither TMZ nor a YouTube video (in most cases) are reliable sources. I'd wait until other media picks that up before adding it. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:07, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
