Some quick notes:

  • I'll assume good faith on the lyric sheets. Y
  • The opening "triple-platinum certified" seems a bit weasel wordy, take that out and add that information to a release section.
  • This Background and writing section could be a bit more organized. It starts out with Marx getting the album deal, and then goes back to discuss his solo career. This should be organized chronologically to make it an easier read.
  • Be sure to use correct dashes. For the manual of style, replace -'s with –'s.
  • Also per manual of style, when referring to numbers in a sentence, spell out single digit number such as "number one hit" rather then "# 1 hit"
  • Some paragraphs in the "Background and writing" prose lack citations entirely.
  • The track listing looks okay. Remember to use the - dash rather then the - dash.
  • the personnel section is detailed well. but remember to use proper use of capital letters, for example, it should flow like this
  • John M. Keane - arranger, drums
  • Tom Keane - arranger, keyboards
  • Michael Landau - arranger, other guitars
This article needs more sections of prose to become a GA. Look at other albums such as: Hard to Swallow, No Jacket Required or Here Come the Warm Jets to get example of sections to add. These include a style/lyrics and music section describing the sound and themes of the album, a release section that would cite a release date as well as charting success, and a critical reception section that would show how the album was received by critics at the time. Other nice to have sections would be about a tour to support the album or any other details retaining to the album's history, but the others are essential for a GA-status.
  • The infobox needs a bit of cleaning up per WP:Albums standards. WP:Albums states to drop the "Records" from Music label titles. And links in the infobox should be referenced with citations now rather then link tags. This prevents link rot.
I'll leave the article on hold now for a week to try and patch some of these problems up. Good luck! Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:46, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
On giving it a due amount of time, I don't think the album is up to standard. I think some sources are questionable (namely Youtube, which isn't good source) and It's missing some appropriate sections that should be listed such as style and lyrics as well as an expanded reception section. This is still a very well written article, but I don't think I can pass it for GA. A little more information is needed and then it can be submitted again. Cheers!
