Bank of England
editThis article previously stated that Levett was one of the first governors of the Bank of England. However the reference supplied to support this only shows him as a director, not governor and the official list of governors on the Bank of England website [1] doesn't include his name. I've consequently changed the mentions of him being governor to him being a director. Thryduulf (talk) 14:21, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- There are now many more sources online about the early history of the Bank of England, including some good current ones. I've doublechecked, and you are correct. Glad you fixed it. MarmadukePercy (talk) 19:19, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
The Commons 1690-1715 Citation
editThe whole first paragraph is cited as coming from Cruickshanks, Handley, and Hayton, The Commons 1619-1715. However, looking through volume 1 (the introductory survey) and volume 5 (where Levett’s name would alphabetically be), there is no mention of Levett at all. 130.132.173.75 (talk) 19:25, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
