Role in 2012 Prex race edit

His conviction came up a few hours ago, tho he wasn't mentioned by name. I for one had to look him when John N. Mitchell's successor was mentioned as the other white guy in contention for the two most corrupt USAGs. The current chronology is an effort to force his bio into a rising action & denouement, which as usual renders efficient assimilation into the human brain grossly inefficient. There may be a lot more that needs attention, but seem to be going to bat on that matter.
I'm "locking" the article, but i'll try to do the editing in several steps; if you think you're better equipped (or, especially likely, able to do what i'm trying to with greater alacrity), get my attention via my talk page & we can compare ruff drafts to decide how to prioritize and expedite.

Even if the following material turns out to be other than OR (which the lack of verification makes it sound like) it is too hypothetical to be part of a biography: it's about an alternate universe, not part of RK's life story. If someone has produced evidence (as opposed to blatant assertions) that it could have gone that way, or more importantly, made a lot of people think hard about what might have been, the following may help provide a skeleton for thinking about how to describe that collective awareness and thus be helpful to an article on that extended cultural phenomenon, and about the evidence-compiler's results:
Again placed in a difficult situation by unethical behavior of co-workers as he had been in the ITT phone calls, he hesitated to do what he really might have done. Had he reported or acted on Liddy's confession, it would have broken the whole case open immediately, and probably prevented the President from ever being tempted to cover it up. The related crimes of Ehrlichman, Haldeman, and Dean, the president's closest advisers, would not have occurred. The "damage" would have been contained to the Committee to Reelect the President, and would not have reached the White House.

Removed: long story about insignificant event of no relevance (but local color) to his bio.
Kleindienst was a close confidant of William H. Rehnquist. Kleindienst and Rehnquist were active in the Arizona Republican Party, and were appointed to serve under John Mitchell as deputy attorneys general in 1969. Rehnquist was nominated to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1971 and later elevated to Chief Justice in 1986. It was the close association with Kleindienst that led Rehnquist to disqualify himself from the Watergate tapes case (United States v. Nixon), which directed Nixon to comply with the subpoena issued by Judge John J. Sirica to turn over his tapes. The 8-0 opinion was handed down July 24, 1974 and the White House turned over the tapes to Congress. The scandalous revelations brought disgrace on the Presidency and Nixon resigned 15 days later.

"one of the two Attorneys General ever" edit

Regarding this part of the lead:

one of the two Attorneys General ever, as of September 2012, convicted of perjury committed in connection with that role or the presidency.

... this is pretty garbled (there's an "only" missing, and the sentence is chopped all to hell). Also, who is the other one? Mitchell? He was convicted of crimes he committed after being AG. Hairhorn (talk) 20:30, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wallace "Wally" Kleindienst edit

Should there be a Wikipedia article/page created for Richard Kleindienst's son, Wallace "Wally" Kleindienst?

The other day I began to wonder what happened to Richard Kleinienst's son, Wallace "Wally" Kleindienst who was a year behind me in college. It turns out he is a highly respected Federal Prosecutor, assistant United States attorney in Tucson, Arizona and has prosecuted at least two high profile cases, Jared Lee Loughner, the shooter who shot Congresswomen Gabbie Giffords, and killed Chief Federal Judge John Roll and others and Lonnie Swartz the US Border Control Agent who was accused of firing through the border fence at Nogales and killing a teenager.
