Not even a stub edit

At least some very basic biographical information needs to be added, with a source. Heck, the ballot itself contained more information that this "article". :-/ — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 20:41, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

this page wont work.... edit

@ Moonriddengirl

i added some VERY basic un-biased information from my own knowledge and other cited sources, but its not nearly enough...especially since the picture used really isnt that relevant...just a space filler.

What were the copywright problems? Copywrited photos or directly copy/pasted text? If so why did it need to be deleted? couldnt you have just re-phrased it and done better citations?

Or is there more legal stuff involved?

editing edit

sorry for the slightly excessive editing, but this article still needs work.

Also if there is copyright infringment in the future, please work harder to fix it rather than to wipe the article clean.

thx!

photo edit

k done 4 now..but the photo may be on iffy grounds

cited Kim Jew Photography in the references, but the fair use explanation may not work. so I may need a better grounds on which to use the picture..but im not sure who the wrights belong to the city of albuquerque (because it was on cabq.gov) or kim jew, because they were the photographers. I might work on getting written permission soon because the way it is now wont work in the long run.

And I might re-import because the quality isn't that great.

just leave any suggestions in this article's talk and feel free to edit.

EDIT: Removed picture for now, getting approval ( i know that sequence of events went in the wrong order, post, delete, then get permission =p)

repost from 75.211.19.247's talk page edit

Hey sorry about the slow response.

Is the link that i provided under the image:mayor richard j. berry.pdf not valid?

its does clearly state on the site: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=73525805139

"Privacy Type:Open: All content is public."

If this isn't valid let me know and i will get rid of the picture but i dont intend on tracking another one down.

btw, the image is marked for speedy deletion but hasnt been deleted yet(usually theyre fast about deleting copyright infringing stuff)... so who knows

NPOV edit

While sourced, the "Mayor of Albuquerque" section sounds a lot like a press release. I've nominated the page to be checked for its neutrality. Paris1127 (talk) 00:37, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It does read as a press release. I can't dispute the data, but as in all things politics, spin is everything. Dolphx (talk) 17:34, 29 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Jesus, he must have done it himself. Someone really needs to balance that crap about public safety with the excellent New Yorker article, "Your Son Is Dead," (2 Feb 2015)on ABQ's astronomical police homicide rate and Mayor Berry's support of the police culture — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.166.70.87 (talk) 03:20, 24 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

COI edit

Someone, using an IP registered to the City of Albuquerque, edited the page to add in a slew of unsourced info (with maybe only one passage cited). Now someone with a username similar to the name of someone working in the mayor's office has edited the page. What she added is cited, so I haven't removed it, but it feels like promotional material. I'm unsure if it should remain or should be rephrased. Paris1127 (talk) 00:23, 26 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

do tell. Looking. Elinruby (talk) 13:00, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Alright, Delaney Woodward, yes indeed is the deputy chief of staff at the city of Albuqueruque, and yes, that is an IP address registered to the city of Albquerque. I brought this up on the COI noticeboard. I guess I am supposed to post a template here; will do that in a sec Elinruby (talk) 17:06, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
