Contested deletion edit

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... I have no idea why this "speedy deletion" message appeared as a result of my effort to update two links? I believe this is the first time I've ever tried to edit a wikipedia page... Dick Newick is an important historical figure who passed away in 2013. There is nothing commercial about his web site or the two links I just updated, replacing wingo.com/newick with dicknewickboats.com ? I am the owner of wingo.com and have code in place to redirect the old links automatically but that code will stop working if I sell the domain wingo.com. Quite simple, really. This "speedy deletion" message makes no sense! Sincerely, Joseph Oster, www.josephoster.com AKA www.wingo.com --173.30.66.196 (talk) 17:46, 22 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Table of Designs edit

Hello All - I've added a table, listing Dick Newick's designs. Some of them are one-offs (eg, "Cheers"), others may have had several examples of them built (eg, the "Val" trimaran). Much of what's contained in the table comes from the previous version of this page, plus a few other sources. The table is very much a first iteration, with some of the data within it needing to be vetted and referenced, while there is also quite a bit of in-filling still to be done. None-the-less, it's a beginning! Cheers, Aerohydro (talk) 06:55, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
