Just been informed that Richard died today. He's been a friend and mentor for thirty years. I don't have official sources for this and also don't feel up to looking for them, but thanks, Richard, for all the good times you introduced me too. Mr Larrington (talk) 19:48, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry to hear that. You have my condolences. As a kid reading my dad's copy of Richard's original Bicycle Book tough me a lot about bicycle mechanics, and encouraged me to use a bicycle as my primary mode of transportation.
