I have completely overhauled the article, also writing an extensive new section about the origins and history of the Museum, plus its architectural development and expansion over the years. I have added many footnotes, and have also cleaned up a lot of copyedit errors. The following areas remain for improvement:

Details or examples of integration of the Museum into RISD education and student life
Community outreach programs
Ratings or rankings of RISD Museum as a tourism destination (however, must avoid WP:BOOSTERISM)
Further comments on past Museum directors, and their influence on collections policy and exhibitions
Better coverage of Pendleton House period rooms, plus example photographs of the interiors
More third-party and external media coverage, beyond the coverage by RISD itself
