Assault
editAn IP placed the following comment on the article page ([1]):
- This is the wrong Judge Cone who attack A.H. Stephens It was Francis Hirum Cone from Green County Georgia. Check your sources
Could someone check this? --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 17:37, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
The objection is correct. Here is a contemporary article on the event that clearly names Francis Cone.

Pitcher
editI am removing the following passage (strangely found under the heading "other works"):
- Former MLB pitcher David Cone is not a a direct linear descendant of Reuben Cone.[1] Reuben Cone had one child, a female, and had no descendants with the last name of Cone.
Such non-facts are generally not included in a biographical article unless there is evidence of a widespread belief to the contrary; and for what it's worth, the cited reference is just a general article on the baseball player that neither supports nor contradicts the statement. It's worth noting on the talk page in case someone ever wonders, "Hey, I wonder if they're related..." so I do so here. TJRC (talk) 16:08, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
