I played around with the layout a bit because in the old version a map overlap a table and that looks ugly on my screen. I also think the new version is more compact thus have improved readability. If no one opposes, I will apply this format to the rest. Needless to say, I don't know how this looks on others' screen so don't hesitate to make modifications. -- Taku 02:04, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

I have no objection to any of the improvements, and I agree it looks a little nicer. The only thing I don't like is that I wish the total seats for a party (in the same box as the party name) were right aligned, or otherwise lined up vertically for comparison, as the single member and proportional entries are.
You may have to play around with the maps to get them to appropriate sizes, because have very different aspect ratios -- the Tohoku one is very large if you set the same width as the others. Willhsmit 02:11, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

My new edit should address this concern (i.e., total seats). I am still not quite comfortable with PR column but this is a good compromise. I will change the format for the rest in a day or so. -- Taku 23:46, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

Tables

edit

One possibile addition to the first table (nationwide summary) is changes. Changes in % of vote can go in parentheses within the table entry (e.g. 39.7% (+2.7)) but the most important change, number of seats, perhaps deserves a separate column. Nice article and fantastic graphics! Fg2 02:24, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
