These two topics are somewhat related, but also different. In addition the names given to the techniques are both not very precise. So there should be at least a links from one to the other, maybe as a see also. The techniques are rather similar: This article is about measuring elastic constants of solids - whereas the Acoustic resonance spectroscopy is investigating mainly liquids and gases.--Ulrich67 (talk) 13:05, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please note, that the term Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy or resonance acoustic spectroscopy is also used in the industrial field of Quality Control as a non destructive testing method. It is of high importance for inspecting metallic parts - and it is a method with long history: Famous is the quality control of bells, where you check the quality through the sound of the bell by ringing the bell.
