Planning on reviewing this real soon. GamerPro64 03:05, 5 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

So before going in-depth on the article as there is a lot of Japanese to go through, I want to point out the use of this 1UP link. I do not believe this was written by a staff member of the website and could just be a promoted blog. Just like how Destructoid does that sometimes for userblogs. GamerPro64 22:18, 8 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

It seems to be a "featured" blog post on 1UP's The Grind blog feed (see [1]). There seems to be some degree of editorial oversight on this blog feed as it is a "Featured Blog" ([2]), with material by people like Bob Mackey, Jeremy Parish, and Kat Bailey. I don't know if that qualifies it as a reliable source? Axem Titanium (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Might want to take that up at VG Sources on that. Personally I just see it as a userblog but I could be wrong. GamerPro64 01:58, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I put up a discussion there. I'm not terribly committed to the source but it seems like a waste to just delete the whole paragraph. Axem Titanium (talk) 18:15, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Looks like they said it was fine. :) Axem Titanium (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

So, for the review itself:

Lead
  • " The game, in contrast to other RPGs of the time, uses a fast-paced strategic combat system revolving around different types of firearms and combination moves between the three playable characters." The part about the combat system being fast-paced doesn't get mentioned expect for the lead. Might be best to add that in somewhere in the body.
Gameplay
  • "Players are able to move about the battlefield freely, but they have the option to create predefined paths for the character to follow. While moving along these paths, characters gain access to Hero actions, which make them immune to damage and speed up charge times." Unsourced.
  • I'm not sure if this source from RPGLand is reliable.
  • Everything but the first sentence in the last paragraph is unreferenced. Also the part about the game automatically starting on "Normal" mode is not in the SiliconEra reference, either.
Synopsis
  • "the remnants of humanity gathered around it and built a great city around Zenith's tower." I'm not sure about the usage of "great" in the sentence.
    • "Great" as in large or grand. A bit of poetic license by the original copywriter. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • "The three main protagonists are "Hunters", mercenaries taking on odd jobs throughout Basel." Is the last sentence in the "Settings" section needed there or could it be moved somewhere else?
  • I suggest doing through the "Plot" section in terms of copyediting.
Development
  • This section is fine.
Reception
  • The article mentions the games sales in Japan. Are there sales for the game outside of Japan, such as the US?
    • I couldn't find any unfortunately. This is an unreliable source noting that it didn't chart in the month of its release, but sourced to the actual NPD chart for March 2010 which do not list RoF. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • The review score for Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine isn't sourced in the score table.
  • I recommend addressing people by their names in the section. You have Bob Mackey from USGamer but not the other reviewers.
    • The original copywriter addressed reviews by their publication, which I had forgotten when I added that sentence from USgamer. I believe WPVG suggests to pick one style (either publication or reviewer name) and sticking with it, so I fixed my addition. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Legacy
  • "An artbook named End of Eternity Design Works" I don't think named is the right word for this.
Sourcing
  • Looking at the External Links at the top right, the GameSpot review for the game is dead. Also some of the Sega.jp links don't open up for me so that should also get checked out.
    • I went through all the links again and fixed everything I found. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Images
  • Checking File:Resonance of Fate combat.jpg it says that it was taken from Sega Europe's Flickr account. When I found it on Flickr, it was marked with "© All rights reserved", which means it can't be used here. Might need to find a different image for the Gameplay.
    • The image is a non-free image tagged as fair use. It's not uploaded to Commons so it doesn't matter that it's non-free. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi GP64! I was away for the weekend but I'm back! Working on this. Axem Titanium (talk) 16:54, 18 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think you might need to get someone to do a copyedit to the article. Reading this article throughout has me thinking the prose isn't that good. GamerPro64 02:39, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I went through and did another copyediting pass on the rest of the article. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:53, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Finished reviewing the article now so I recommend looking through what I have said and make the right fixes here. GamerPro64 16:06, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Alright, all done! Sorry for the delay. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
One more thing before this review is finished. The OPM review seems to be from Playstation: The Official Magazine, which is different from Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine. GamerPro64 20:09, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
You're right, the review box used the wrong code. Axem Titanium (talk) 00:06, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Okay. I think with that its safe to say this article meets the criteria for GA status. If anyone doesn't agree with this decision you can call for a GAR on it. GamerPro64 03:48, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
