Update edit
Hello, I have begun to update the article and plan to continue in the next few days. Among many errors, I have removed or corrected :
- motto : "La Garde meurt mais ne se rend pas" (quoted from Napoleon's imperial guard at Waterloo) is incorrect as it was never used by the Republican guard.
- same for the march (music) : "Défilé de Garde républicaine" : the Republican guard has no dedicated march.
- Mission : transporting organs for organ transplants : this mission was discontinued years (decades...) ago.
I have taken the liberty to remove a few (very few) pictures (mainly for quality) and to add a few of my own. I usually avoid removing someone else's pictures so I hope nobody takes it personnally.
The next phase is to add to the bibliography and to add some more info but I realize some (many?) sentences would need re-writing. Any help would be appreciated. With kind regards,--Domenjod (talk) 19:56, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
