I have to agree, without any sources to cite the article give the impression that this is merely propaganda. RetlawSnellac (talk) 20:33, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correct Information edit

After reading the article which states the republic was founded in 1918 and dissolved in 1918, I started searching and found these statements;

  • "with the ephemeral "Republic of Mountainous Armenia" (April-July 1921) -- The Armenian Review, p196
  • On 25 December 1920, Zangeaur declared itself independent. After the Dashnak uprising, which seized Yerevan on 18 February 1921, was crushed on 2 April, Zangezur was, for several months, the last bastion of anti-Bolshevism. There Nzhdeh proclaimed the 'Independent Republic of Mountainous Armenia'. It was crushed in July with the aid of Red Army detachments from Karabagh. -- The Caucasian Knot, p133-134
  • Led by Garegin Nzhdeh, partisan unit resisted Sovietisation until their defeat by the Red Army became inevitable. In fact they declared Zangezur as the independent Republic of Mountainous Armenia on 27 April 1921. -- The Armenians, p259

Flag edit

The article features an Armenian flag. Did RMA have its own one? Brandmeister[t] 13:46, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Citations needed edit

The article includes lots of statements with no citations, even the first sentences in introduction are not cited. Therefore I put citation needed template.  Anastasia Bukhantseva  09:51, 8 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Azeri Vandalism/Bias edit

Edit history seems to show quite a few attemps by Azerbaijani users to "fix" history to fit the narrative of their authoritarian government. Ex: "Qarabagli..." (now deleted account) made a now reverted edit calling the Iranian city of Tabriz Azerbaijani. Though this city has a population of Iranian Azeris, he quietly made it seem like the city was under control of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Another edit claimed that Nzhdeh's expulsions of Azeri muslims comprised the majority of Zangezur's population. Mountainous Karabakh and Syunik had an Azeri minority until the Soviet era, when most of the Azeri population was expelled, not a 3/5 majority, and I could find no non-Azeri government sources claiming this figure.
