Given a recent attempt to move this page, I believe clarification is needed on the article's subject. This article covers the period of the Republic of Haiti's history from the unification of North Haiti and South Haiti in 1820, until the Republic was dissolved to become the Second Empire of Haiti in 1849. This period of history largely overlaps with the Haitian occupation of Santo Domingo but there are two separate articles: one to cover the political entity and one to cover the historical event. All efforts by editors to differentiate the pages is appreciated, and please discuss here any proposal to move the page. - NoGhost (talk) 02:39, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
