“Romantic Nationalism” edit

“Romantic Nationalism” usually used in a disparaging why to describe the Young Ireland movement. This has been sufficiently dealt with by Brendan Clifford in his introduction to Charles Gavan Duffy: Conversations with Carlyle, entitled “Stray thoughts on Young Ireland.” There is quite a lot in this article which I find to be totally incorrect, lacking the most basic knowledge of the subject. Where is the reading list which could be used to reference this article? I do not mean to sound Negative but it is such a great subject, full of intrigue and interest that it deserves better attention. --Domer48 14:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article is disgraceful edit

This article is disgraceful. It is completely devoid of fact. It is either naïve of malicious. I would be interested in having this referenced, as the authors could be used as examples on similar pages, as a guide on who not to use. There are plenty of primary sources, which could be used for this article, which the editors are either unfamiliar with or unaware of. --Domer48 15:51, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Deleted Text edit

I deleted the text on this page as the information was completely un-referenced and un-sourced. In addition the information was both inaccurate and misinformed. If however the material can be all referenced, and sourced, regardless weather it is true, reverts would be appropriate. --Domer48 19:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Society of the Friends of Ireland of all Religious Persuasions edit

It is written here:

On 6 April 1830 O'Connell had founded a Society of the Friends of Ireland of all Religious Persuasions to fight for a number of causes of which one was repeal of the union.

Is this what was called the "Repeal Association"? -- Mathieugp (talk) 18:59, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
