Renford Reese sounds like he was a very successful person. I personally have not ever heard of him, but it surprises me that I haven't. It is pretty amazing that one if his quotes was featured on Starbuck's cups. It sounds like his goal in life now is to help out others as much as he can, but it is a shame that he did not make it to the NFL. I think it is amazing that the Colorful Flags Program has helped so many people. One can only imagine how far he would have gone if he would've been drafted into the NFL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kfranks81292 (talkcontribs) 19:56, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I feel as though if he had been drafted to the NFL a lot of his accomplishments wouldn't have occured. Although no one can predict that but you actually have a chance of seeing Renford on the television. There will be a special about him mentoring Rodney King. Do you know what prompted him to start the Colorful Flags Program? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kfranks81292 (talkcontribs) 20:04, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, It was during his second doctoral year in school. It was because of the racial injustice occurring around the US in the early 90's when Rodney King was beaten and a young high school girl Latasha Harlins was shot and murdered. Both events eventually led to the Riots of 1992 and because of these events he was inspired to create a progam that created a brige between many cultures. Is this what also sparked him to write his books? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kfranks81292 (talkcontribs) 20:13, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Based on the research I have done, I would say but also no as well. You can see in the edits I just posted on what the main ideas of each book are and they do reflect a lot on what inspired him to create this program. However, they also focus on America as a whole and America influences each of these problems to occur. Sam.Ivey (talk) 20:26, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Sam.IveyReply

Although, I have not read the first article that was posted about Renford Reese but I read it was deleted because it did not contain proper citations and notability. However, if you were to actually read my article instead of reading the title and seeing that it was previously deleted. You would see that I have very notable information on Dr. Reese and I also have documented these sources very well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sam.Ivey (talkcontribs) 01:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
