Sardinia gets additional resources from the Italian state in order to finance all services???
it's totally false, the italian state has got a debt of futher 6 billions euro towards Sardinia, italian state doesn't pay reparations from 16 years to sardinia for the taxes paid from sardinians, infact the italian goverment has begun to compensate sardinia. inform themselves about the question of the "vertenza delle entrate della regione sardegna"
the italian goverment are denying to sardinia also 11 billions of european funds from more than 1 year, contrary sicily instead hasn't problems of this kind (it has received immediately 4 billions euros from the italian goverment some months ago)

Sardinia & Sicily
The provinces of Italy article tells that currently Sardinia has 8 provinces, not "-" as it is on the table. However, if someone tried to update already to the 2014 situation, the provinces article tells Sicily do not have any provinces either. crazy question. can I get a simple map that shows the regions? lol
there's the one highlighting the autonomous regions. that's cool. I would like to see one with each region labeled & perhaps even with a wikilink to the respective articles. History

Regions' Table: Listing Regional Presidents with President of the Republic? Why Not President of the Council of Ministers?
Why comparing Regional Presidents with the President of the Republic (PdR)? The President of the Council of Ministers (PdC)(aka Prime Minister) it's more similar. The latter it's the executive head of governement like, as far i know, the Regional counterparts. PdR It's head of State with a very different role.

- Italy is a parliamentary republic with a head of state (the President of the Republic) and a separate head of government (the Prime Minister / President of the Council of Ministers).
- The regions of Italy, on the other hand, work effectively as presidential systems (with some small corrections). The Presidents of the Regions are both "heads of state" and "heads of government" of the regions, so to speak. For example, (see Article 121 of the Constitution) it's the President of the Region that represents the region and promulgates regional laws. Both these roles are typically attributed to heads of state, rather than heads of government (where such a distinction exists).
- The purpose of the "President" column of the table should be to list who represents the respective entity, not the head of a particular branch of government. While both Mattarella and Gentiloni are "Presidents", only one is the President of Italy, and it's the former. Loudo89 (talk) 11:46, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
Deletion of infobox
All (probably) of the regions' individual pages used the template Infobox region of Italy, but that was deleted on 16 February 2019; see this discussion for the rationale. Just before the template was deleted, 77.183.150.15 used subst to replace its uses with the equivalent Template:Infobox settlement, but omitted to subst the internal #if constructs, resulting in redundant code. Also, Tuscany was missed (presumably because it used Infobox Region of Italy, but Chiorbone da Frittole subsequently did the (partial) fix. See User talk:77.183.150.15#February 2019 for earlier discussion.
The main reasons for bringing this up are (a) to mention that those redundant #if constructs need to be flattened and (b) to check that no other actual Regions were missed. I think the page here contains the canonical list of Regions. For (a) I already fixed Puglia by hand, and I think the rest are fairly easy to fix mechanically by changing each {{#if to {{subst:#if. I've run out of time right now, but perhaps someone can dive in and run through them and verify we caught them all (and list the converted pages here). Map not working
Recent editors: @Nick.mon, Ita140188, Ritchie92, Foghe, Afus199620, Dk1919 Franking, and GenerationCurrent2015: The map at the top of the article is broken, and it was working when I first looked at the page early yesterday. |float=rightout of the code and it seems to work ok - but seemed a little slow to load. Not sure what caused that to stop working, I'll have a bit of a "dig". - DocWatson42, turns out the template was passing the alignment parameter in a way which should never have worked (and I'm not sure why it ever did). My guess is that some stricter HTML/XML parsing somewhere in the Mediawiki pipeline just became active and stopped what had been working (but strictly shouldn't have) from rendering. I hope that made sense...
Anyway, if you're interested, I think I fixed the template with these edits, and I've replaced
|float=rightin the article. Reprise
There seem to still be ongoing (intermittent?) issues with this template, and as far as I can tell, they are often related to time-lags/problems obtaining the json data from the external map server. I have to confess that I'm not particularly in love with the current version anyway. The version before it was converted to call external data is in {{Italy Labelled Map/sandbox 2}} now, and I suppose we'd have the option to revert to that if we wanted to. - Not sure why Underlying lk changed the map from this to its current version. The current map does not show the various regions, which is what this article is about. If the current version ever loaded, maybe you'd be able to zoom to see the regions, but nonetheless, I think it should be changed back to this original version. - I changed the example here in this section to use (the now updated)
{{Italy Labelled Map Scalable}}and put a caption in the frame. I'd prefer to keep whatever we might decide to do here separate for now, because{{Italy Labelled Map}}is also used in a couple of other articles and, in any case, it's probably better to have separate versions so that development/improvement of the "json" version might continue. If you hadn't noticed, the place labels in{{Italy Labelled Map Scalable}}are clickable wikilinks, so as well as leading to the relevant article(s) they will show details with pop-ups etc... -- Begoon 01:08, 9 July 2019 (UTC)- @Begoon: It's not working at List of cities in Italy. - It is when you purge the page, which I just did - but it's slow to load right now, and unreliable. I did make a couple of formatting changes to the template earlier today, so it probably had an old version cached, but that bright pink "json error" can also come up when the server lags, or an article page fails to load completely. That's one of the "issues" I'm concerned about - when I played with it in a sandbox you'd get a loading error (either the pink "json error" or just a totally blank map rectangle) anywhere from 5-10% of the time, which is not good. -- Begoon 01:58, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

- Well, I've updated this version, and created some parameters for display. If we do use it, the options are:
- With an image frame and caption
- With an image frame but no caption
- With no image frame or caption but with a thin border instead
- With no frame or border
- Size anything from about 350px wide upwards
- Sizes much smaller than about 350px are likely to get problems with type labels "colliding".
You can see examples of all the options in one place together if you go and look at the Template:Italy Labelled Map Scalable template page.

Two regions are no longer subdivided into provinces!
Since some time ago, the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Sicily are no longer subdivided into provinces! Instead, the former one is divided into "intermunicipal territorial unions" and the latter one into "liberi consorzi comunali" (this is not even reflected on the Sicily page!). Friuli and Venezia Giulia
