I think this is the only University reactor articles that existed before I started making them :-O

Good work, someone should come add more stuff. I put in the template and all the other kind of stuff I do for the university reactors, I'll probably add more later.theanphibian 18:58, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The World

Article says: RRR is the only research reactor in the world that is owned and operated by an undergraduate educational institution. Well I guess that would depend on how you define "research reactor", as there used to be quite a few installations of the Siemens Educational Reactor ' in Germany. While I'll readily admit that with a whopping 1W of maximum power output these are nowhere as cool as a TRIGA and couldn't be used for anything practical, still they were in the same "market segment" in regard to training for undergraduate students. (And they still are pretty cool if you're studying for an engineering degree and a visit to the reactor chamber with a bit of lecturing on nuclear power is a valid choice to get credits for practical laboratory experience :-D ) If anyone's interested I might translate the German article into English... --BjKa (talk) 21:25, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
