Move Article edit

This should be moved to the ACTUAL series of unfortunate events article

More Questions edit

Why is it assumed that (Kit Snicket's baby) Beatrice's last name is "Baudelaire"? Or is it because she is adopted by the Baudelaire orphans? Lemony Snicket never said her last name was Baudelaire. Wolfdog 23:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Have you read the Beatrice Letters? Kit Snicket's baby claims to be 'Beatrice Baudelaire'. Mrmoocow 08:01, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why is this listed as needing Cleanup? edit

Please be more specific. Mrmoocow 08:04, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

If I were to take a guess, it would be because the "recurring themes" page includes no information on recurring themes (just characters and disguises), yet is referenced from that section under the main article. This page seems more to me to be a brief outline of the content of the books. 60.234.118.134 (talk) 10:06, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think that's right. After looking though the table for a while, I think what needs to be done is to sort through the table in the article and figure out what recurring themes are in the Series of Unfortunate Events books. Once done, the table needs to be replaced by the recurring themes put in paragraph form. (For instance, each book seems to refer to a library of some sort, and there seems to be a letter in each book linking each book to the next book in the series.) I can't do the cleanup, since I've never read the Series of Unfortunate Events books... BlizzardandBlaze (talk) 07:23, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Inappropriately laid out? edit

I can see that nobody has looked at this page in a while - a shame - but I'd like to ask anyone who may be following it what the justification is for the current layout. This page is linked for further reading from the main article under the (quite detailed) recurring themes section, yet all it provides is a table of characters, disguises, and events in the books. It is NOT a Recurring themes page. Would it not be better to head up various *themes*, give a short explanation of the purpose they serve, or how they're portrayed, then list some examples? 60.234.118.134 (talk) 10:25, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Added book series information. edit

I added information on the book series from the book article, but I have no idea how to improve this article. --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:18, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect edit

These are not Themes, they are motifs, or reccurring plot devices.

Rename? edit

Since this is a list of first appearances and major events, not "themes" (a theme would be death, irony, the conflict between capitalism and humanism, science, hypocrisy, or even specific themes such as the baudelaires hair style preferences, their use of slang), perhaps it needs to be renamed. how about "List of events and appearances in A Series of Unfortunate Events"?Mercurywoodrose (talk) 15:18, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
