User:Wallapus, representing International Rectal Microbicide Advocates, made this edit - history. A lot of this content was unsourced but a lot was also good. I removed everything, then re-added the sourced content. I contacted this user and offered them help in developing this article. This seems like a really good new Wikipedia user. MTN-017 edit

The study MTN-017 is complete and its results were reported in February 2016, but the section discussing it has not been significantly updated since 2013. I did some basic editing to shift the tense where appropriate but the section could still use some expansion and referencing to cover the results of the study, and possibly some rewording (since I just adapted the existing text that was written to refer to the study in the future tense).
