I'd like to add a few new paragraphs and citations to this article to make it more complete. I'd also like to rearrange the structure of the paragraph that is currently written to make the content easier to follow.

Here's a list of sources I'm interested in using: Overview of basic structure and function of RSSs: -Kuby Immunology Textbook- 7th edition -Immunology Annual Review: V(D)J Recombination: RAG Proteins, Repair Factors, and Regulation

Pub Med articles:

-V(D)J Recombination: Mechanism, Errors, and Fidelity

Information to add edit

I think that the article needs to contain more discussion about the specific enzymes that recognize and bind to the RSS region. Specifically, the article should address the RAG1/RAG2 complex. Additionally, the article does not mention the RSS sequences flanking the D segments of the gene coding for the variable region on the heavy chain. This is essential in explaining the importance of 12/23 recombination rule. --Immcarle36 (talk) 18:19, 29 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
