Patter song edit

Do we need to mention the Patter song? Gautam Discuss 05:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't think so. Sparafucil 06:28, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

definition edit

I've rewritten the article, with as gentle a hand as I could, starting with the definition, which was getting unclear. We still need to reincorporate the gregorian definition. Sparafucil 06:28, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Audi coelum edit

I cut this sentence, refering to an unaccompanied section remenicent of monodic style perhaps, but not strictly speaking recit secco:

The 1610 Vespers of Monteverdi contain two large sections of secco recitative for tenor, the second of which, for the virtuoso Audi Coelum, is seamlessly intertwined with choral sections, florid runs and an echo effect from a second singer.
