This should be deleted edit

The Rays stopped pursuing this last week; it's relevance is now limited to a footnote in the history of the Rays. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.77.226.249 (talk) 21:08, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have updated the page to reflect current events. They haven't officially abandoned the idea of a waterfront stadium (although columnists are calling it "defunct"), although it seems very unlikely. Nor have they officially abandoned the notion of a new stadium altogether. If they do, then we'll go through and make all this past tense. But for now, I think this works. Selig Clearly Stated Both the A's and The Rays Must Get New Stadiums edit

Sure sounds like a clear warning to me. The term foreseeable future doesn't have to refer to only a specific date in the next few years either. I wrote the phrase because the timeline was not specified Talks were also revived to discuss the possibility of constructing the ballpark too.75.72.35.253 (talk) 00:30, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am starting a talk page so that we can address differing opinions on what is relevant/biased content in a public setting. Justin Elza (talk) 20:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletion part 2 edit

With news that the Rays are building a new stadium in St. Pete, this article and the Ybor Stadium article should be deleted and the info should be combined into the new new ballpark article. - Richiekim (talk) 11:38, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

EDIT - Another option would be to combine the contents of this article with Ybor Stadium and then use the info from the upcoming press conference into this existing article. - Richiekim (talk) 12:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Agree. I actually nominated several "new Rays ballpark" articles for deletion several years ago, as they were never more than artists' renditions displayed at news conferences that never came close to becoming reality. The new plan seems much more viable, so if it happens, all these earlier proposals should be mentioned in a "prior attempts" section. Zeng8r (talk) 12:06, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
