Rigvedic Rathakara

What exactly is a Rigvedic Rathakara and what would it have to do with the varna system? The Rig Veda isn't really familiar with the varna system until the emergence of the Purusha cult in the later hymns, specifically the ninetieth hymn to the Tenth Mandala. However chariot builders existed in Rigvedic times nonetheless. This is somewhat anachronistic in the perspective of the evolution of the Indo-Aryan religious thought.

Rigvedic Rathakara is the real meaning of rathkar, in north these rathkar or chariot maker or artist were also known as jangid brahmin clearly mentioned that "the Jangid Brahmin makes beautiful chariots or the sets of the idol they engrave on the wood"

and its mention in several book that rathkar were brahmin they were expert in Shilpa shastra, vastu shastra and sulba sutra. here I would like to clarify that Rathkar are Artist community but not every artist can be consider as Rathkar. Vishwabrahman52 (talk) 18:47, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Rathkar is Vedic community it's not a modern community or caste that any one can change the meaning. they were exist in vedic era and rigveda is the oldest scripture hence the Rigvedic rathkar matters a lot. Vishwabrahman52 (talk) 09:40, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
